Woolooware Bay’s residential community is continuing to flourish, with the newest additions to the neighbourhood moving in, and preparations underway to start construction on the next stage of apartments at the award-winning waterfront urban village.
Developed for landowner Cronulla Sutherland Leagues Club (The Cronulla Sharks) by Capital Bluestone, the masterplanned community is set over 10 hectares of waterfront land surrounding the Shark’s homeground and club in the Sutherland Shire.
At completion Woolooware Bay will be a vibrant, fully-integrated, masterplanned town centre comprised of a resort-style residential precinct including gym, spa, roof top cinema, three pools and private pool club; a retail centre including full-line supermarket, supporting convenience shopping and a range of indoor and alfresco dining; a revitalised Club headquarters and 75-key hotel.
For the first time, the public will also benefit from direct access to a rejuvenated foreshore with cycleways linking the bay to the rest of the Shire and beyond.
Stage 2, designed by architects Turner, includes 178 apartments set over two buildings, Cove and Landings.
The first of the community’s absolute waterfront apartments also come with a lagoon-style outdoor pool, barbecue area, and spaces for all residents to gather and connect.
Parkview and Capital Bluestone are now preparing to break ground on Stage 3, bringing on the next 238 apartments, including flagship building Crest, with its residents-only infinity pool with private cabanas, barbecues, and Pool Club with full catering kitchen and expansive windows framing spectacular views.
Capital Bluestone Managing Director Ben Fairfax says the completion of Stage 2 has brought new vibrancy to the blossoming community and further progresses the realisation of the masterplan for Woolooware Bay.
"Our first residents moved into Stage 1 in December 2016 and since then have formed a really active, connected and supportive neighbourhood," he says.
With Stage 2 residents now moved in, the Woolooware Bay community has expanded to approximately 725 residents.
“We’re delighted to introduce the Stage 2 residents to our already active and connected neighbourhood and look forward to seeing the community grow, and enjoy the many fantastic spaces and features of their home and surrounds.
“Our greatest reward is seeing the enjoyment and affection the residents have for this community. We strive to deliver places that have a positive impact on individuals, groups and the community at large and to see it in action at Woolooware Bay is very satisfying,” he says.
Mr Fairfax congratulated Parkview on the milestone and thanked them for their passion and enthusiasm.
“We’re thrilled to see how Woolooware Bay is evolving and we congratulate Parkview on delivering another stunning precinct and beautiful new homes for our residents – many of whom have relocated from within the local area,” says Mr Fairfax.
Cronulla Sharks Chairman Dino Mezzatesta says the success of Woolooware Bay’s growing community was adding to the Club’s positive momentum.
“Our Club is thrilled with the wonderful progress being made at Woolooware Bay. To see the residential community really thriving and the vision for the town centre coming to fruition is an achievement,” he said.
“People in our community have embraced the idea of Woolooware Bay and the development will support our Club in being successful on and off the field long into the future,” he says.
To prepare for construction, the Display Suite has been relocated in the Pavilion building of Stage 1 on the corner of Captain Cook Drive and Foreshore Boulevard. The Display is open daily from 11am-4pm (excluding Public Holidays).
